Adding more than this will not necessarily create a better smell for your scented candle and will most likely cause it to not burn properly which could be dangerous. When learning how to make a candle, remember that the two elements (fragrance and wax) should be mixed completely so the scented oils are incorporated evenly throughout all the wax; this will prevent pockets of extreme fragrance and will help your scent to disperse evenly when lit. The third tip is to make sure that the fragrance is distributed evenly in the candle from top to bottom; again this is to be sure you have an equal amount of fragrance through the entire burn of the candle. This is made possible by making sure that there is not watery residue after pouring the mixture to the molds. Also, a quick reminder that when lighting the candle you must be sure that the top is completely level and flat so it burns well. This really is to keep wick from drowning or twisting down towards the melted part of the candle ,which would create an uneven burn. The wax melted pool is actually where your fragrance is emitted from when making a scented candle so you want to be sure that you have the candle made evenly and sitting flat in order for this melted pool of wax and fragrance to form and burn properly.  As you can see these are helpful to know how to make a candle burn properly.
